Ashley Reid, the daughter of former multiplatinum singer and TLC manager, Perri “Pebbles” Reid, tried to clarify her previous shocking statements about TLC’s Chilli in public during recent radio interview. As you may recall in our post, Reid said she could beat Chilli’s “face into the concrete” and that Chilli performed fellatio on her father, music mogul L.A. Reid, while he was still married to Pebbles. SMH. Now she is backtracking and has released a statement. Check it out below.

Ashley Reid’s comment during radio interview verbatim :

When I said on Twitter, ‘Chilli I can’t wait to see you’ what I meant by that was, ‘I can’t wait to see you to beat your f–king face into the concrete.’

Ashley Reid sought to provide justification through her publicist, Imaging Success Group.

Ashley Reid’s statement:

Being tactlessly defensive is a choice, and may not be the most effective. It was my choice. Violence is not what I represent. For those that know me, either personally, through my weekly radio talk show, or my art–they know that I am a passionate person with no filter, that what I said was in anger.

In anger, many things are said out of intense emotion. The same applies to a desperate attempt to threaten credibility, defame, and villianies someone’s character in order to generate publicity. That was TLC’s choice. My voice is my own and is not reflective of my mother’s opinion. Despite the lies and slander depicted in the movie and over the past 20 years, my mother loves TLC and always has.

Under no circumstances will I ever apologize for defending the people I love and what I know is right.
