Days after the Met Gala, folks are still talking about Kim Kardashian ugly floral ensemble. Well, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci is defending the turtleneck maternity gown he designed for pregnant Kim K to wear to Monday’s Met Gala.

Leave Kim Kardashian alone, says Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci.

“She is a really good friend, and I am very happy she came to the Met for the first time,” Tisci says. “I love Kim. Doing maternity was fantastic.”

The italian fashion designer styled a very pregnant Kim K. for the Met Gala this year. The reality star was ridiculed for the excessive floral prints on her dress and was even compared to a ’80s style sofa.

“People can say what they want. To me, pregnancy is the most beautiful thing in the world, and when you celebrate something, you give people flowers. I think she looked amazing. She was the most beautiful pregnant woman I dressed in my career.”

The designer also sparked up rumors of a secret engagement when he made an indirect announcement that Kim may be Mrs. West sooner than we think. “She is the future wife of a really good friend of mine.” he hinted.

That would explain the glove sleeves he may or may not have strategically placed over Kim’s rumored hidden engagement ring.
