Madame Tussauds unveiled four Whitney Houston wax figures in New York City.
On the anniversary of the late Whitney Houston’s death, Madame Tussauds remembers the late legend by immortalizing her in wax. Four of them! Whitney’s mother Cissy Houston, her brother Gary and Michael, and sister-in-law/manager Pat, were in attendance to unveil four wax figures at Madame Tussauds in New York City on Thursday.
“They’re amazing. They’re beautiful,” said Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law who was also her manager, reports the Daily News.
“If she could step down here and be alive and really feel what’s happening right now she would thank and appreciate everyone in this room,” said Gary Houston, Whitney’s brother. “I’m saying it for her, I know she loves and appreciates everything that’s going on here today.”
Whitney’s mom, Cissy, also attended the event. Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kirstina Brown was not in attendance. “For Krissy this is a bit much, to see figures of her mother,” Pat said. “It’s tough enough for her, and we didn’t want to pressure her into making a decision to come.”
But on Twitter, Bobbi Kristina sounded happy, writing: “I would truly like 2 Thank @MadameTussauds not only 1•But 4 wax sculptures4my mother(:••very grateful&TrulyThankyou!•• They’re phenomenal•xO”
