Lil Wayne and the Young Money execs have signed its newest member, Reginae Carter, Lil Wayne first born. Reginae, 14, was formerly a part of The OMG Girlz, but now she will be taking her singing talents to her father’s record label.
During Cash Money’s Pre-Grammy party, Rap-Up TV caught up with Young Money president Mack Maine and announced, “Wayne’s daughter, Reginae, is actually signed to Young Money now.”
Mack Maine continues: “Just expect greatness. She’s Toya [Wright's] daughter and Wayne’s daughter, so that’s a great combination. She’s a mega-star.”
In 2010 Reginae left the OMG Girlz, a group assembled by Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, before the trio became a teen pop success. Will she do well as a solo act? We shall see.
Mack Maine also revealed some other recent signings by the label which include newbies PJ Morton, Torion Sellers and We the Future.
“Right now, I’m trying to get the Young Money young’ns going,” said Maine.
