A recent ad aired for “Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 5 showed the cast of RHOA excluding Kim Zolciak. That’s because she was busy working on her new reality spinoff show.
According to S2S Magazine:
Kim’s wedding special, “Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding,” earned sky-high ratings for Bravo, and network exes are rewarded her with a new show that she’s already started filming, according to TMZ.
There has been no title given to the show yet, but it will feature Kim, her four children and her husband Kroy Biermann of the Atlanta Falcons.
Kim won’t be the first of the “Housewives” franchise to star in her own spin-off series; however, she will be the first Atlanta cast member to have her own similarly-formatted show. Kandi Burruss’ talent-search series, “Kandi Factory,” is expected to return for a second season, and she is still a full-time cast member on “RHOA.”
It’s been confirmed that Kim will still be appearing on the new “RHOA” season, premiering in November. Buzz of Kim’s demotion to a secondary cast member on the show, began when season 5 promo photos were released and she was not in them.
According to Bravo, Kim’s camera time was limited because she was pregnant during most of production. Bravo executives said that Kim was excluded from the promo photos because she was very close to her due date with her fourth child, Kash Kade, who was born in August.
