Even though the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards took place more than a week ago, the annual show honoring the best in rap aired Tuesday night (October 9). Did you see it. Check out the recap of highlighted moments below:

(I can’t with this picture above, lmao :) )

The show started off with a performance by Wiz Khalifa. After rocking his single, “Work Hard, Play Hard,” Wiz was joined by Young Jeezy and Juicy J for the remix of the track and J’s club R&B/Hip-Hop Songs hit, “Bandz A Make Her Dance.”

Other performers of the night included Meek Mill, Kirko Bangz, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, T.I., Future, Diddy, Machine Gun Kelly, Los, French Montana, Uncle Luke (who of course had to chime in on “Pop That,” the remake to 2 Live Crew’s “Pop That Pussy”), and last but least, Rick Ross and Omarion.

A very special moment took place when artists of Violator Management came together to pay tribute to the late Chris Lighty.

Cyphers are always the best part of the show:
