Embattled R&B superstar Lauryn Hill has turned down the opportunity to open up about her tax troubles to Oprah Winfrey!

Hill has declined an offer to explain her comments and pour out her heart to Winfrey in a special interview for her “Oprah’s Next Chapter” series.

For the most part we readily assume that whatever Oprah wants Oprah gets.

But when it comes to the super reclusive Lauryn Hill, that may not be the case. Of course if you had her tax problem you would probably be press-shy as well.

Oprah says she reached out, but Hill declined.

When asked by a fan if she would ever interview Lauryn Hill, Oprah tweeted: “tried. she said no.”

That’s too bad because besides her tax issues and complicated love life, Lauryn Hill would have a lot to talk about.

Speaking of tax problems, they are piling up for the former singing superstar. The state of New Jersey says Hill owes over $440,000 dollars in backed taxes on top of her federal debt.
