Grammy winner, Adele, will file suit against Euro tabloid that published photos allegedly taken from a sex tape of hers.
Last week, rumor had it that an alleged sex tape featuring Adele had been leaked.
Adele’s lawyers say is “100 percent false.” However French tabloid Public claims to have seen the footage, even going as far as publishing three pages worth of video stills from what they call a “very risqué” tape.
The magazine, which was released Friday, alleges the footage was taken on a cell phone and shows the singer and an ex-boyfriend “in the back seat of her car.”
Additionally, French paparazzo Jean-Claude Elfassi took to Twitter on Thursday to claim he’s in possession of a copy of the alleged tape and would be posting it online.
Regardless, lawyers for the 23-year-old singer deny any such product exists.
“We are informed that the French magazine Public has today published images which it claims show our client in a sex tape,” they told the Daily Mail. “Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs.
“Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory. Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter.”
The 23-year-old wasted no time in hiring Schillings law firm, the U.K.’s go-to solicitors-to-the-stars, as the first step to filing suit against France’s Public magazine for publishing both the images, taken from a smartphone, and the accompanying front-page false claims.
