Hours before the show, Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson announced that she would not be performing at Michael Jackson’s Tribute Concert in the UK.
Academy- and Grammy Award-winning actress/singer Jennifer Hudson was scheduled to perform at the Michael Jackson tribute this past Saturday in Wales but she never showed.
TMZ reports producers were expecting the svelte songbird to hit the stage, along with others like Ne-Yo and Cee Lo Green, but were surprised when she never showed, especially as they say she was already paid.
In her own defense J-Hud tweeted, “To my uk fans that were coming to the mj show in wales. I will no longer be attentding due to major production issues. I would have thought they would have informed you all by now , so since they did not , I am. Thank u for your support.”
Sources tell TMZ, the 30-year-old mom says she didn’t get enough time with the music she was scheduled to perform, although they also confirm she received her music at the same time as everyone else. Hudson’s reps say the MJ tribute producers knew all about it and “completely understood.”
Music lovers who bought tickets didn’t understand and took to the star’s Twitter page asking, “What about your fans?” Hudson may have some more explaining to do.
